2013 Amboy Arts 'n More Festival was held September 6th, 7th & 8th in Amboy, Minnesota

This festival is a project of the Amboy Community Club whose mission is to provide social, cultural, and environmental contributions to the Amboy area.
Each year our organization puts on a festival called the “Arts 'n More Festival” whose purpose is to stimulate the practice and appreciation of a wide variety of arts and music in our local community of Amboy, Minnesota. This year we have added a reception on Friday night to focus on the literary arts.
Our theme for this year is Amboy, Minnesota - a proud history, a bright future.
This year a button design contest for Maple River High School students was won by Olivia Lippert-10th grade. The winning design was produced and sold for $3 at Amboy merchants to support the festival. Each person who purchased a button was entered in a drawing for a prize. The prizes were an Apple ipad mini, a framed drawing of the Amboy Depot, a special pre-publication edition of Kelly Reuter's new book on the History of Amboy, a $50 gift certificate to the Vernon Center Meat Market. There was also a new festival t-shirt on sale for $15.
This year an essay contest for Maple River High School students was won by Kellie Gerdts. Click onessay to read Kellie's winning essay.
This year's festival also included a Youth Photo Contest.
2012 festival memorabilia were still on sale, including a Festival T-shirt for $12 and a commemorative pie plate from Red Wing Pottery for $35 at Graf Furniture Store in Amboy.
